TENURED TEACHER CAN BE FIRED FOR CERTAIN CONDUCT, SAYS STATE SUPREME COURT

The highest court in the state said a teacher can be fired for “unbecoming conduct.” The state’s Supreme Court said that a teacher can be fired, even if that teacher has only been accused of a sexual assault and it has not been proven. It was a 6-1 decision, based on an incident that took place in Roselle. The court said protecting the children is the highest concern in this situation.
