TDF MONEY TO BE — USED UNDER WILDWOOD BEACH AGREEMENT

wildwood logoAn agreement between the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority and the City of Wildwood would move money around in the TDF to figure out how to pay for additional event support. The deal was put in place to ensure that certain beach events didn’t leave the beach in Wildwood. GWTIDA Chairman Tom Byrne told Coastal Broadcasting the plan would be to use existing funding the TDF had and take that money to help cover the additional cost for these beach events.

The City of Wildwood has raised its fees for this year on events to cover certain costs it deems the events do not pay for. Morey’s Piers threatened to move three of its beach events to surrounding communities if the ordinance wasn’t repealed.

An official announcement of the agreement is expected to be released later today.
