TAJ MAHAL MANAGEMENT MEETS WITH UNION REPS

On Monday representatives from Unite Here Local 54 and management from the Trump Taj Mahal finally sat down to discuss their labor dispute. The two-hour meeting was the first in nearly two months, as the union proposed that the Taj Mahal pay they workers the same amount for health care that other casino workers are getting in the resort. Taj Mahal officials said the meeting was not a negotiating session and blamed the union for the casino closure, by not allowing it’s members to vote on the proposal they offered up five weeks ago.
