SZCZUR GETS IN FIRST BASEBALL GAME

Local baseball fans were excited to hear that Lower Cape May Regional star Matt Szczur made it to the majors over the weekend. Szczur was called up by the Chicago Cubs prior to their game against the New York Mets. He was immediately put into the game entering Sunday’s game as a pitch runner and staying in for defense in the outfield. Szczur did end up getting an at-bat but made out.
