SWEENEY WON’T APOLOGIZE FOR COMMENTS

A new report says that Senate President Steve Sweeney will not say he is sorry for comments in which he called Gov. Chris Christie a “rotten bastard” among other names. Sweeney’s comments were published in that same paper over the weekend. Sweeney and other Democrats were irate when Christie used his power of the line-item veto to take down the overall budget number by nearly $1 billion.
