SWEENEY PUSHES SHARED SERVICE DURING LEAGUE OF MUNIPALITIES MEETING

A high ranking state lawmaker continued to push for mayors to look into shared service. Many mayors, are looking for sweeping reforms, like a change in arbitration. Senate President Steve Sweeney has been pushing shared services over recent weeks, saying Gov. Chris Christie’s toolkit alone is not the answer. Meanwhile, many key toolkit issues have yet to be resolved, including civil service, and arbitration.
