SUPREME COURT SETS GUIDE FOR WHEN LICENSES CAN BE REVOKED

The New Jersey Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday that driver’s licenses can no longer be revoked as freely as they have been in the past. The ruling related to a case involving a 2007 motor vehicle stop in Aberdeen Township. Guidelines were set down for when licenses can be suspended, including a “willful violation,” and in cases were there is a disregard for life and property that is highly likely to hurt others.
