The survival of Atlantic City is very important to tourism in the state, according to a new report. A study done by Urban Policy Research at Rutgers University and commissioned by the Casino Association of New Jersey, shows that the resort accounts for a third of all of the tourism in the state. The data also shows that it supports two percent of the state’s jobs. The study was ordered to follow up on the announcement by Gov. Chris Christie that the city needs to be saved.
