STRIKING WORKERS CONTINUE PICKETING AT TAJ MAHAL

Nearly 1,000 workers of the UNITE-Here Local 54 union continue their strike at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. No new talks have been scheduled between the union and casino management since a week ago last Thursday, according to union president Bob McDevitt. The latest contract offer from the Taj Mahal reportedly offered much less than the deal struck with four other casino properties that avoided a strike at their locations prior to July 1st.
