STORMS SWEEP ACROSS SOUTH JERSEY SUNDAY EVENING

On Sunday scattered showers and thunderstorms swept across South Jersey, but it could have been much worse. The most severe wind gusts and thunderstorms were felt in parts of Gloucester, Camden, Burlington and Ocean counties. Some areas measured wind gusts as high as 70 mph with scattered power outages and tree damage. Cumberland and Cape May Counties escaped the brunt of the high winds and lightning, where severe thunderstorm watches were in effect until 10 p.m. Sunday.
