STORMS POUND JERSEY SHORE, TWISTER LANDS IN NORTH JERSEY

For the sixth time this year, a tornado touched down in New Jersey.  This time, it happened Wednesday in the northern New Jersey community of Springfield.  There was minor damage, but no injuries.  A line of severe storms and heavy rain blew over the Jersey Shore Wednesday evening, bringing some street flooding.
