STORMS DRENCH THE SHORE, CA– USE POWER OUTAGES

Some afternoon thunderstorms on Sunday caused power outages and flooded streets in local shore communities.  Nearly 4,000 customers of Atlantic City Electric lost power in central Cape May County.  Outages were reported in Middle Township, Avalon, Dennis Township, and Upper Township.  Nearly 8,000 customers of the utility lost power during the peak of the storms.  More storms are in the forecast through Monday evening.  It’s possible the storms will again bring drenching rains that could flood local streets.
