STONE HARBOR TO APPLY FOR OPEN SPACE FUNDING

New Jersey’s Open Space Review Board will be receiving an application from the Borough of Stone Harbor next week. Plans for a September 11th memorial, showcasing a piece of World Trade Center steel has been planned for the community, with a cost of about a half-million dollars. Stone Harbor officials told the Press of Atlantic City, they are hopeful their request for funding from the state’s open space board will be approved, because they have never before made an application after years of paying into the fund.
