STONE HARBOR COUNCIL DELAYS LIBRARY DECISION

Stone Harbor photo 1Stone Harbor has decided to implement a self imposed six month delay in the process of getting a new branch of the county library system built in the community.  The Borough Council unanimously approved a resolution during Tuesday night’s council meeting that delays any decision on the location of a new library in Stone Harbor for at least six months.  Council has formed a new committee that will solicit public input on where the location of the library will take place.  The current location is on a beachfront property at 95th Street, but some in the community oppose the beachfront library site.  The new committee will report back to council on July 3rd.
