STOCKTON REPORT SAYS WORKERS LEAVING ATLANTIC COUNTY

A report released by Stockton University on Tuesday shows that workers are leaving Atlantic County as casino jobs continue to dwindle. The migration also caused the unemployment totals for the county to slightly decline for the first half of the year.  Stockton’s biannual South Jersey Economic Review shows that Atlantic City casinos provide 20 percent fewer jobs now than at the start of 2014, causing about 13,000 workers to move out of the area since early 2013.
