STINK IN MANTUA CREEK FOLLOWING ACCIDENT LAST WEEK ON ROUTE 55

An overturned tractor trailer on Route 55 last week is apparently responsible for some stink in the water serviced by Mantua Creek.  Residents are complaining about a fuel sheen on the water and have complained that fuel spilled into the creek is foul smelling.  About 8,000 gallons of diesel fuel was spilled in the accident.
