STILL NO SUPERINTENDENT FOR PLEASANTVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT

The Press of Atlantic City reports that the search for a new Pleasantville school superintendent may be going through the court system. Former superintendent Clarence Alston has filed a lawsuit against the school board to prevent them from naming an new interim, when the current interim superintendent’s two-year term ends on June 30th. Alston contends that state monitor Constance Bauer unfairly rejected him for the job and wants to be considered for the position. Alston had been the Pleasantville School District superintendent from 2006 through 2009.
