STATE’S TOP COURT SAYS NO TO DEMARZO APPEAL

The state’s highest court has decided it will not hear an appeal regarding the employment status of Mayor Gary DeMarzo.  The New Jersey Supreme Court announced this week that it will not consider DeMarzo’s argument that he could serve as both an elected mayor and a police officer in the city.  DeMarzo currently serves as the mayor of Wildwood while he is on an unpaid leave of absence.  DeMarzo was eventually told by the courts the had to choose one job or the other.
