STATE VETERANS TO BE HONORED IN OCEAN CITY

120px-Seal_of_New_Jersey_svgNew Jersey Distinguished Service Medals and other State Service Medals will be presented to area veterans at the Ocean City Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace,11 a.m. on Tues., July 6. The announcement was made by the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.

The public is invited to honor veterans who will be receiving medals for service to the state and nation in conflicts from World War ll to the current operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Veterans from throughout Cape May and Atlantic Counties will be honored.

Veterans and family members can obtain more information on all the benefits that they may be eligible to receive from the state and federal governments by calling the 1-888-8NJ-VETS hotline.
