The State of New Jersey has wiped out over 1,000 fraudulent tax refunds. The state’s division of taxation announced that $7.4 million in payments were avoided on the bogus tax refunds that were turned in. Some of the bad income tax returns were actually filed by residents of Conecticut who said they were working in New Jersey; they were not.
