STATE: SEATBELT — USE AT RECORD HIGH

Some positive safety news from the state of New Jersey today.  Seat belt use among drivers in New Jersey is now at an all time high of 94.5 percent for all front seat drivers and passengers.  Attorney General Paula Dow announced that this is the highest seat belt usage rate recorded over the past 15 years.  There’s still work to be done for back seat passengers; only 60 percent of those passengers buckle up.
