STATE REPORT: WIPE OUT UEZ’S IN WILDWOOD, OTHER AREAS

225px-ChChristieA new report issued by the state of New Jersey on Thursday calls for the elimination of Urban Enterprise Zones in Wildwood and other areas throughout the state.  The new consultant report was authorized by Governor Chris Christie; the report recommends the elimination of UEZ’s throughout the state, saying they are cumbersome and very costly to operate.  Some democratic lawmakers want the zones to stay, including Assemblywoman Joan Quigley.  Quigley says the program supports over 100,000 jobs and has generated over $31 billion.
