STATE RECEIVES 38 CHARTER SCHOOL APPLICATIONS, INCLUDING A FEW IN SOUTH JERSEY

A number of charter schools have applied to the state to open up. In total, 38 applications were received by the Department of Education. Two of the those applications were in Bridgeton and one was in Atlantic City. The state will weigh its options and make a decision by Sept. 30 on new charter school applications.
