STATE RE-USES DREDGE MATERIAL IN DELAWARE BAY RESTORATION

The State of New Jersey is trying to figure out beneficial ways to re-use dredge materials.  State officials announced the completion of a third pilot project in the Delaware Bay that restored ten acres of degraded wetlands and three acres along the Delaware Bay in Fortescue.  DEP Commissioner Bob Martin says the restoration of these wetlands will help make coastal New Jersey more protected in advance of major coastal storm events.
