A new study shows that New Jersey has among the best quality water at its beaches. The Natural Resources Defense Council released a study saying that New Jersey was ranked 2nd, behind only New Hampshire for water quality. The state almost saw a drop in half of its beach closures in 2010 compared to 2009, though some environmentalist says it was because of the lack of rank. Atlantic and Cape May Counties were reported as among the best for avoiding beach closures.
