STATE POLICE WARN ABOUT PHONE SCAM USING LEGITIMATE PHONE NUMBER

New Jersey State Police are warning the public about a telephone scam that involves a legitimate phone number.  Police say a caller with a foreign accent represents himself as being with the State Police and ask for your social security number and information.  This is a fraud, according to police.  The number to be wary of is 609-452-2601.
