STATE POLICE TO GET FEMA DOLLARS FOR POST SANDY COSTS

New Jersey will be receiving $15 million in additional funds from FEMA. The grants will help cover costs incurred by Hurricane Sandy. The announcement came from U.S. Sens. Frank Lautenberg and Robert Menendez. Around half the money will be going to the State Police. Those dollars will help pay for post-Dandy patrols and equipment used during the storm, among other costs. In total, $60 billion was approved by the federal government to help states impacted by the storm recover.
