STATE POLICE SAY SOMEONE VANDALIZED MEMORIAL FOR DECEASED TROOPER IN DENNIS TWP.

New Jersey State Police are asking for the public’s help with catching the persons responsible for defacing a memorial established for a State Trooper who died in the line of duty.  Police have issued a photo of the memorial established for Bertram Zimmerman that sits along side Route 83 in Dennis Township near Route 9.  White caulk was used to write a derogatory phrase on pavers and they also used the caulk to deface the memorial.  Zimmerman died in the line of duty as he was responding to a robbery call.  A cash reward is being offered.
