STATE OF EMERGENCY STILL IN EFFECT IN CAPE MAY COUNTY

Re-entry to barrier islands in Cape May County is not yet permitted, as the county remains under a state of emergency. Officials from the Cape May County Office of Emergency Management, and municipal officials will be touring the coast from U.S. Coast Guard helicopters to assess the damage from the air. Re-entry into Cape May County Barrier Islands will be announced as soon as possible. However, until then, the mandatory evacuation for the Barrier Islands remains in effect.
