STATE MAY APPROVE ONLINE POKER GAME

The State of New Jersey may be the first in the country to legalize online casino games.  The website northjersey.com reports that a Senate Budget Committee approved the state’s first online poker game.  A $30 million horse racing purse subsidy would be replaced by revenue derived from income courtesy of online poker, according to the report.  State Senator Jeff Van Drew says the online poker rooms at casinos could attract new customers.
