STATE AUTHORIZES BORROWING $4.5 BILLION FOR BUDGET

A special panel has approved borrowing $4.5 billion to help New Jersey meet its budget obligations.  The legislature has already approved a $32.7 billion spending plan, but a panel had to approve the extra borrowing.  The money is needed to offset revenue loss from coronavirus.
