STAR-LEDGER ANNOUNCES 25 PERCENT CUT TO NEWSROOM

Newspapers continue to feel the pain. The Star-Ledger announced that about 25 percent of its newsroom was being cut for budget reasons, and a total of 167 people would be losing their jobs. The paper remains the state’s biggest newspaper. The article stated that the company is on pace to lose about $19 million this year.
