SPORTS BOOK BILL APPROVED IN NEW JERSEY

Chris ChristieSports betting is now allowed in New Jersey…kind of. Gov. Chris Christie signed legislation on Tuesday to approve sports book in the state, but a federal law still outlaws the practice in New Jersey. Lawmakers believe it will provide a financial windfall to Atlantic City and make the state more competitive versus other states that don’t have sports book. Also, some argue it is already happening illegally and this will help regulate the practice.
