SOME PART-TIME WORKERS BEING LET GO IN VINELAND

MayorRomanoSmLayoff notices have been sent out. The Daily Journal is reporting that some part-time workers in Vineland are losing their job. The city is facing a proposed eight-cent increase to the tax rate. These cuts will not bring down that budget, but were rather factored in to the proposed budget. The paper says the city is eyeing cuts in the police department if some concessions are not made to save the city some money. No word yet on how many layoffs took place.
