SOME LOCAL SCHOOLS WOULD BE WIPED OUT UNDER PROPOSED STATE PLAN

A new state panel has come out with a recommendation to eliminate half of the school districts in the state, and some are in Cape May County.  The plan is part of a study to help streamline government and save money.  No action has been taken, but some of the districts on the elimination list include Stone Harbor Elementary School, West Cape May Elementary School, the Wildwood Crest Borough School District, and the Dennis Township School District.
