SNOW FORECASTS VARY, WINTER STORM WARNING THIS AFTERNOON

The forecast for tonight has a lot of variation in it. Depending upon the model you check, Cape May County could get between three and eight inches of snow. A winter storm warning is in effect for this afternoon and through the night. The initial forecasts called for this storm event to be mostly rain and sleet and likely happening during the day. The storm is reaching us later in the day and will have colder air, which will produce the additional snow fall. Accuweather’s Carl Babinaski tells Coastal Broadcasting that they are calling for 3 to 6 inches. It is possible some rain could still mix in with the storm which will mitigate some of the snowfall. Continue to follow here and on the air at 98.7 FM and 106.7 FM for more details throughout the day.
