SMOKING BAN PROPOSED FOR STATE PARKS AND BEACHES

This Thursday, the New Jersey Legislature is expected to give final approval to a bill to restrict smoking at public beaches and parks. The bill would allow local municipalities to set aside 15 percent of beaches for designated smoking areas, but ban smoking entirely at state parks. A similar bill was vetoed by Gov. Christie back in 2014.
