Smoke that is coming from a forest fire in the Wharton State Forest is now visible in Cape May County. There was a wind shift this morning along the shore which has caused a very light smoke haze and the smell of vegetative smoke in many local communities, especially in the central and northern portions of the County. The fire is over 50 percent contained.
