SIX CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED CARJACKING IN SOMERS POINT

Six people have been charged with an attempted carjacking in Somers Point.  Police tell us today that three adults and three juveniles have been charged with trying to carjack a driver at the intersection of Routes 9 and 52 last week.  The suspects brandished weapons and ordered the man out of the car, but instead he hit the gas and sped off.  All three adults are under the age of 21, and all are from Atlantic County.
