SHORE TOWN REJECTS PROPOSAL TO BOND FOR ADDITIONAL SANDY REBUILDING

A shore town in North Jersey has decided against bonding for $7 million to rebuild two boardwalk pavilions. Belmar voters went to the polls on Tuesday to knock down the idea. The original pavilions were destroyed from Hurricane Sandy and voters were not prepared for the price tag. The opposing group said they would be open to rebuilding the pavilions, but not for the steep cost.
