SENTENCING HANDED DOWN IN MEDICARE AND MEDICAID FRAUD CASE

An Egg Harbor Township resident was sentenced for defrauding Medicare and Medicaid of millions of dollars. The state’s Attorney General’s Office announced that Farah Iranipour Houtan, was sentenced on Thursday (Nov. 10) to three years of probation and also ordered Houtan to serve 200 hours of community service. The Center for Lymphatic Disorders, LLC, which is no longer open, was fined $50,000 as well.
