SENATE EXPECTED TO PASS IN-STATE TUITION RATES FOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS

A final vote is expected to pass on providing in-state tuition rates to undocumented students on Monday. The Senate is expected to take up the measure that would send the bill to Gov. Chris Christie’s desk. In general, the vote is expected to pass across party lines with Democrats in support. Despite Christie being a Republican, he suggested during the gubernatorial debates an openness to the measure.
