SENATE, ASSEMBLY SIGN OFF ON SPORTS BOOK BILL

120px-Seal_of_New_Jersey_svgIt could be the spark that Atlantic City needs. New Jersey took a big step towards getting sports betting after the Senate and Assembly passed the measure on Monday. If Gov. Chris Christie signs off on the measure, it will create the possibility of a showdown between the federal government and New Jersey in court. Lawmakers like Congressman Frank LoBiondo have also said they would work on creating a new bill that would allow New Jersey to have sports book. Only four states are allowed to have it under federal law.
