SECRET SERVICE JOINS ATM INVESTIGATION

The U.S. Secret Service has joined local authorities in the investigation of recent ATM skimming incidents in South Jersey. Skimming devices have been found on ATMs at banks in Lower Township, Northfield, Brigantine and Egg Harbor Township. Criminals use the devices to collect bank account information from unsuspecting customers. The Secret Service is responsible for investigating fraud relating to national currency and financial systems.
