SEASIDE BOARDWALK CLEANUP: $4.7 MILLION

It will cost $4.7 million just to clean up the debris left by that huge boardwalk fire last month in Seaside Park.  Officials from two communities affected by the massive blaze have awarded a contract to a Toms River company to clean up the debris left in the wake of the fire the destroyed several blocks of boardwalk and dozens of businesses.  Taking the debris to the landfill cost $1 million all by itself.
