SAY WHAT? LAWMAKERS CONSIDER TAX ON SHORT TERM RENTALS

Some are calling this a blistering financial attack on the Jersey Shore.  Lawmakers are now considering new ways to generate money for the state budget, including taxes on short term rentals and increases taxes on expensive homes, both of which would impact the coastal region.  Voting sessions for Thursday have been called off, and voting sessions are possible Friday, Saturday and Monday; on Sunday, the state runs out of money.
