SAVED: ANIMALS RESCUED FROM SHELTER FIRE

A fire impacts a local animal shelter, but thanks to the daring rescue by shelter volunteers none of the animals perished.  It happened at the Cumberland County SPCA shelter in Vineland Thursday afternoon when a dryer caught on fire and sent smoke through the building.  Shelter volunteers raced into the building and saved over 100 animals.  Three shelter workers were treated for smoke inhalation.  Cleanup at the shelter continues today.
