SATURDAY 7AM: 162,000 ELECTRIC CUSTOMERS AFFECTED BY STORMS

It’s going to be a very long weekend for power companies throughout South Jersey.  Atlantic City Electric reports 162,000 people without power as of 7:00am on Saturday, June 30th.  A very intense line of storms moved through the region knocking down power poles and power lines.  Some of the hardest hit regions include Egg Harbor City, Mays Landing, Millville, and Bridgeton.  Some scattered outages have been reported in Cape May County, especially in Woodbine and Lower Township.  If you have an outage, Atlantic City Electric’s outage number is 1-800-833-7476.  To view Atlantic City Electric’s outage map, click on this link: http://www.atlanticcityelectric.com/home/emergency/maps/stormcenter/default.aspx
