SALES TAX REVENUE CLIMBS IN THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY

Despite the coronavirus pandemic, New Jerseyans shopped, and shopped hard.  New figures show that the state experienced nearly a three percent increase in sales tax revenue during the month of August.  Various state loans and federal programs provided tens of millions of dollars to the Garden State.  The news isn’t all good as overall tax collections dropped by six percent from a year ago.
