SALEM NUCLEAR REACTORS GET RENEWALS

It looks like the two nuclear reactors operating in South Jersey will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.  The Sunbeam of Salem reports that The Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards has recommended that both the Salem I and Salem II nuclear reactors in Lower Alloways Creek Township should continue to operate for the next 20 years.  The company that runs the power plants believes the approvals were the last major milestone needed for continued operation.
